About Me
Tom Shadley
I started learning from my brother-in-law, Paul, when I was in my twenties, but even before that I was fascinated by custom cabinetry. I established Shadley’s Soapstone in 1988, back when I only specialized in soapstone countertops, sinks, and furnaces. Over the years I’ve picked up new trades and expanded my business to create custom furniture and custom serving-ware that can be seen at multiple Michelin star restaurants in Los Angeles. I’ve been servicing Southern California for over 30 years but occasionally work on projects in Northern California and Oregon.
